History and Background.
Founded
by Susan Sorensen Langer in 1996, Mosaic Marketing offered a new formula for success by combining brand advertising to build awareness with direct marketing to measure impact. This results-oriented
strategic planning and marketing services firm targeted small and growing businesses,
primarily within the financial services and high-tech industries grew to $3.5MM in billings and 10 staff by 1999. In 2001,
Susan moved her firm to New York City one week prior to the September 11
tragedy, leading to a professional transition to the non-profit sector. Within
the non-profit space, Susan has served as an executive director for World
Vision on the East Coast, worked with women and youth in the Middle East,
helped launch a women’s homeless shelter in New York City and helped develop a
national growth strategy for a non-profit serving at-risk teens in Minneapolis.
In 2010, following dramatic economic and market shifts, Susan reprised Mosaic, renamed it Mosaic Mindshare and adjusted its focus to leverage a honed expertise within the non-profit arena and
women-owned/led businesses.
Susan's experience spans nearly three decades of high-touch relationship management among corporate executives, philanthropists and civic leaders. She is a thought-leader on issues related to board engagement, non-profit management, major donor fundraising, women and youth. Susan has served on several non-profit boards, was elected to her local school board and actively supports initiatives that demonstrably empower, equip and encourage women and youth to discover their value and realize their full potential. Most recently, Susan joined the board of directors of New Vision Renewable Energy, a US-based, international non-profit that empowers people to re-power communities through sustainable, renewable energy sources. What People Say About Us.
Jeff Dykstra, Founder & CEO, Partners in Food Solutions
"Susan [Mosaic Mindshare] was pivotal in helping build and promote the Partners in Food Solutions brand and positioned us as thought leaders on the subjects of food security, nutrition, economic development and volunteer engagement. Her deep understanding of branding, the developing world, volunteerism and relationship management helped enable us to very quickly realize substantial global attention (9+MM media impressions) and garner coveted endorsements from world leaders, including President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, among others. Through Susan’s leadership as Vice President of Marketing and Development, we attracted world-class corporate partners and major donors, and recruited and empowered over 700 volunteers who are sharing their knowledge and expertise with more than 600 small and growing businesses in Africa. Her vision of storytelling through video was one of our secret weapons that helped catapult our exponential growth – a start-up international non-profit that engages world-class corporations to leverage US government funding with an aim to help Africa feed itself. I highly recommend Susan and Mosaic Mindshare to help strengthen, position and grow your business, non-profit or cause."
